About the Vice President

Dr. Hamid Hatami Maleki serves as the Vice President for Student and Cultural Affairs at the University of Maragheh. He is an Associate Professor and a distinguished faculty member of the Faculty of Agriculture, where he has been actively engaged in teaching, research, and academic service for many years.

Dr. Hatami Maleki was appointed to this position by the President of the University of Maragheh in recognition of his dedication, expertise, and extensive experience in both academic and administrative leadership.

Academic Background

Dr. Hatami Maleki holds a Ph.D. in the field of plant production and genetics. He is a faculty member in the Department of Plant Production and Genetics at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Maragheh. His academic career has been dedicated to advancing knowledge in plant biotechnology, genomics, transcriptomics, and germplasm management.

Research Contributions

Dr. Hatami Maleki's research interests encompass plant biotechnology, genetic diversity, crop improvement, and genotype-environment interaction studies. He has made significant contributions to understanding the genetic basis of important agronomic traits in crops such as sunflower, barley, sugar beet, and grass pea.

His scholarly output includes numerous peer-reviewed journal articles published in prestigious international venues, as well as conference papers presented at both national and international congresses. He has also served as a reviewer for various scientific journals and has supervised numerous master's and doctoral theses.

Dr. Hatami Maleki has engaged in international academic collaborations, including a sabbatical visit to Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University in Turkey in 2023, where he conducted joint scientific studies for three months. He has also authored books in the field of agricultural sciences.

Administrative Leadership

Dr. Hatami Maleki brings extensive administrative experience to his current role. Prior to his appointment as Vice President for Student and Cultural Affairs, he held several key leadership positions at the University of Maragheh, including:

- Director of the Industry Relations Office** at the University of Maragheh
- Vice President for Student Affairs** (previous term)

In his capacity as Vice President, he has overseen numerous student welfare and cultural programs, including the development of student dormitories and the organization of cultural events on campus.
